Overcoming Anxiety

COVID-19 has affected us in many ways. Instead of dwelling on the negative and what could go wrong, we should turn to God. God is our hope and confidence. When we turn our eyes to Jesus, the world’s things will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. Instead of worrying, look to God’s Word for insight, and path for our lives. God’s Word brings clarity and certainty, but we must be willing to read, confess, and meditate to receive from His Word. In this session of uncertainty, allow God to speak to you. Remember, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Appear before Him! He will command His lovingkindness towards us, He will be our health and countenance, and our God.

Your hope is sure and steadfast! Therefore, I will take You at Your Word, Holy Father.

We Shall Overcome

When the pressures of life get overwhelming, turn to God! God is our Father. He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Therefore, trust in Him and rejoice in Him. Rejoice for He will always fill us with His Hope. Let’s come before His throne and pray together:

God, my Father, help me to remember that you want me to be whole. In Jesus Christ, you set me free. You have provided me a way to be complete, and You have given me power, love, and a sound mind. Lord, according to Your lovingkindness, set me free from my anxiety. I will not give in to the destructive power of wrong thoughts. Help me to meditate upon Your Word and promises. Let your mind rule within me at all times.

Lord Jesus, You are coming, and this confidence and blessed hope keep me from being shaken in my mind and being troubled in my spirit and soul. You have commanded me not to be troubled, but to believe in You. It is so easy to be occupied and troubled by many things. But Lord, Your Word shows me only one thing is necessary; to sit in your presence and learn from You. Please help me to choose that good part that will never be taken away. Help me draw near to You when I am troubled and when distressing thoughts arise, for you are my very present help in times of trouble. I will not let my heart be trouble because I believe in You. You have given me the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Thank You, Lord, for Your Goodness is Forever. In Jesus’ name.

“I will remember the works of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will also meditate on all Your work, And talk of Your deeds.” (Psalm 77:11-12)
