This year’s Penang Goes Orange (PGO) theme is “Escape Sexual Abuse.” Penang Goes Orange is a yearly event run by the Penang Women’s Development (PWDC) Corporation and the State Government of Penang. This year, I was given the opportunity to help in the PR campaign.
The PR campaign is a part of my Public Relations assignment in UOW Malaysia, Penang. Derick Tan and a few others in diploma and degree were selected to represent our college to run the PR campaign. The PR campaign consists of roadshows, booths, and social media posting. Our group was responsible for conducting two roadshows in the market and maintaining the social media presence of PGO. Our first roadshow was on October 19, 2019; the following one was two weeks later. The first roadshow was at Lebuh Campbell, while the second was at the Chowrasta Market
